Mercy Education Limited

Since 1846, the Sisters of Mercy have established and run schools throughout Australia.

Over time, the various congregations have grown and merged and in 2011, 14 congregations and the autonomous region of Papua New Guinea joined to form the Institute of the Sisters of Mercy of Australia and Papua New Guinea (ISMAPNG). In 2012, Mercy Education Limited took responsibility for the governance of the Institute’s schools.

Today, with 13,850 students and 1,743 staff across thirteen colleges, Mercy Education represents leading Australian Colleges that offer excellence in contemporary education in a safe, inclusive and supportive environment, enriched by the Gospels and faithful to the legacy of Catherine McAuley.
